How We Met
We met through JDate! Yes, we did :-). Thanks to my sister Barbara, I used the service to find a beautiful, intelligent, Jewish woman. For those of you who don't know (yet), Lauren is the most wonderful woman in the entire world.

Getting to Know Each Other
After many back massages, I knew Mike was the one! (Mike wrote that). Our third date was running at Sunken Meadow - in February - and it was freezing. Lauren went out and bought winter gear and we actually ran until after it was dark out! We got to know one another really well through running, long hikes and lots of talking.
Autumn in the Adirondacks.
Even though we are polar opposites in some ways, we are also very like minded. We love one another's families, often share dinner at a restaurant (too much food!), love the outdoors and are teachers. We both think the world of one another and do everything we can to make the other person happy.

When we got engaged
April 15, 2006
How it Happened
We used to run together at Caumsett State Park in Lloyd Harbor and they were some of the most memorable of times. After work, we'd convene at the park and invariably run or walk until the sun was setting... Years prior, I used to run solo at Caumsett. Almost every night in the Autumn, I'd hear an owl, so it was an already magical place for me. It is also the place where I first began to realize I was falling in love with Lauren :-). **Go to Our Engagement to see pics from our engagement.
